Woodturning A Spalted Maple Bowl

I have made a wood turned bowl for a charity auction for Camp More. Camp More is a week long summer camp on the Oregon coast for kids who have a stutter. I used some spalted maple wood that I have in slabs. I cut these slabs into rings on the band saw to make what is known as either a bandsaw bowl or an economy bowl. I cut the rings in half circles. Then I glued the two halves together with a small piece of maple in the seam. When the bowl was together, I cut bow ties on the CNC machine to stitch the seam between the two sides. I then turned this all down into a final form on the lathe. I finished it with walnut oil.
