I have wanted to turn a thin walled bowl. I had a piece of Maple that would work for this, although it had dried a little. I had to up my game with my turning tool holding technique to try and get a good surface and to turn a very thin walled bowl. The bowl ended up cracking at each end but I think it is salvageable. I was able to turn the wall to about an 1/8 of an inch thickness.
